Issues of scientific and technological cooperation were discussed within the framework of the visit of the delegation of ‘‘Uzkimyosanoat’’ JSC to the Republic of Tatarstan

The First Deputy Chairman of the Board of ‘‘Uzkimyosanoat’’ JSC, Yevgeny Korzhikov, and the Head of the Department for Localization, Expansion of Cooperation Relations and Import Optimization, Abdukhamid Salomov, visited Kazan Federal University and the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan during their trip to the Republic of Tatarstan, the Press Service of ‘‘Uzkimyosanoat’’ JSC reports.

The main purpose of the visit was to discuss the prospects for scientific and technological cooperation in the field of small-scale chemical developments in the field of composite materials, petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals and import-substituting products.

The delegation members visited the laboratories of the A.M. Butlerov Institute of Chemistry at Kazan Federal University and learned about the scientific research being conducted in the field of heterogeneous catalysis and the creation of polymer composites.

This was followed by a meeting with the leadership of the Uzkimyosanoat University and a presentation of promising scientific projects. Vice-Rector for Digital Transformation and Innovation of KFU D. Pashin, emphasizing that the university has more than 220 years of scientific potential, noted that new technologies aimed at industry are being rapidly developed based on this experience. D. Pashin emphasized the importance of further strengthening international cooperation, including relations with industrial enterprises of Uzbekistan, and made proposals for specific areas of cooperation.

At the meeting, Mikhail Varfolomeyev, Director of the Small-Scale Chemical Technologies Technopark, presented practical projects on reagents and catalysts produced based on the university’s potential. It was noted that these projects have begun to be used in practice at some industrial enterprises.

During the conversation, special attention was paid to such areas as the transfer of technologies to Uzbekistan and the establishment of joint scientific laboratories.

At the same time, the delegation of ‘‘Uzkimyosanoat’’ JSC got acquainted with the activities of the Pharmaceutical Scientific and Educational Center within KFU. The issues of cooperation on educational programs were discussed with the Vice-Rector for Additional Education and Professional Retraining of the University, Ilnur Khairullin.

This meeting was one of the important steps in establishing stable scientific, technical and production cooperation between Uzbekistan and Tatarstan, opening up wide opportunities for new projects and joint research.

As part of the visit to the enterprises of the city of Kazan and Tatarstan, representatives of ‘‘Uzkimyosanoat’’ JSC held a meeting with Rifkat Minnikhanov, President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The issues of cooperation in the chemical industry, localization of production, and the development of import-substituting products were considered. Views were also exchanged on strengthening business ties between Uzbekistan and Tatarstan.
