The President of Uzbekistan has called for the expansion of inter-parliamentary cooperation with Russia

On March 14, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin, the press service of the head of our state reports. The parties discussed current issues of Uzbek-Russian relations of comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance.

At the beginning of the meeting, the distinguished guest conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes to the head of our state from the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

Particular attention was paid to expanding inter-parliamentary cooperation in order to monitor the practical implementation of the agreements and agreements adopted during the state visit of the President of Russia to Uzbekistan in May last year.

The leader of our country supported the importance of careful preparation of the second meeting of the Inter-Parliamentary Commission and its holding in Uzbekistan with the broad involvement of the regions of the two countries.

The need for active participation of parliaments in supporting and accelerating priority projects of trade, economic and investment cooperation, as well as joint programs in the field of labor migration and cultural and humanitarian exchange was noted.
