Uzbekistan and Switzerland discuss expanding economic cooperation

On October 6 of this year, Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov held a meeting with Simone Giger, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Swiss Confederation to the Republic of Uzbekistan, the press service of the MIIT reports.

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for expanding trade, economic and investment cooperation, as well as the implementation of new joint projects in the pharmaceutical, industrial, energy, geology and mining, and food industries.

The parties also discussed the upcoming meeting of the Uzbek-Swiss Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic and Investment Cooperation, as well as the organization of the “Days of Switzerland” in Uzbekistan.

Following the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their readiness to further strengthen the Uzbek-Swiss economic partnership and develop practical cooperation.
