Uzbekistan’s investment potential was presented in India

The Ambassador of Uzbekistan Dilshod Akhatov took part in a business seminar organized by the Indian Millennial Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture on the topic “Exploring business opportunities in Central Asian countries”, the correspondent of “Dunyo” news agency reports.

During the event, the head of the Department for Cooperation with Eurasian Countries of the Indian Foreign Ministry, Charanjit Singh, highly appreciated the process of changes taking place in Central Asia in recent years and noted that cooperation between the countries of the region is reaching new high levels, relations in the spirit of mutual trust are consistently developing. He called on representatives of the Indian business community to actively cooperate with partners from Central Asia.

Ambassador Dilshod Akhatov provided detailed information about the large-scale reforms carried out in our country, favorable conditions created for the investment activity of foreign entrepreneurs, benefits and preferences provided in this process, export and tourism potential, successful experience of Indian companies in the republic.

Special attention is paid to the fact that Indian companies have ample opportunities to implement joint projects, introduce advanced technologies, innovations, knowledge and experience in the pharmaceutical, textile, silk, leather and footwear industries, the construction materials industry, in the field of information technology, healthcare, education, tourism.

The former Ambassador of India to Tashkent, Skand Tayal, spoke about the importance of the process of consistent reforms implemented in all spheres of life of our country. He noted that the concept of “New Uzbekistan” has been formed in the international community, the republic has acquired a completely new look, these changes can be observed in everyday life from large cities of the country to small settlements in the regions.

The diplomat noted favorable conditions for doing business in Uzbekistan and international cooperation in this direction. The growth in the number of joint ventures with the participation of Indian entrepreneurs in the country serves the consistent development of mutually beneficial trade and economic relations.

Within the framework of the business seminar, negotiations were held with representatives of Indian companies on the implementation of business projects in Uzbekistan, attracting investments and increasing the volume of exports of our country’s products.
