On April 13, Laziz Kudratov, the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan held a meeting with Ali Najafi Khoshroudi, Deputy First Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Iran for International Affairs and Regional Cooperation, the press service of the MIIT reports.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of bilateral relations and identified key areas for the further development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Iran in trade, economic, investment, and transport sectors. Both sides agreed on joint measures aimed at ensuring sustainable and balanced growth in mutual trade.
In addition, the parties reached an agreement to convene the 16th meeting of the Uzbekistan–Iran Joint Intergovernmental Commission in May this year in Tehran. The event will be held alongside a joint business forum and the Made in Uzbekistan exhibition.
