On 27 January, the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with Udi Gubay, Director for the EMEA region (Europe, the Middle East and Africa) of the Dutch company Peterson & Control Union Group, the press service of the MIIT reports.
Uzbekistan is consistently implementing measures aimed at diversifying export markets, promoting domestic products to premium international markets, including the European Union, the United States and Japan, as well as strengthening a sustainable national image of Uzbek goods abroad.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the country’s potential in the cultivation and export of fruit and vegetable products, as well as opportunities to expand agricultural exports to the European Union, taking into account international quality standards and certification requirements.
Special attention was given to the prospects for organizing the activities of Peterson & Control Union Group in Uzbekistan, including the possible implementation of a project to establish a joint venture based on the AgroLab laboratory currently operating in the country.
