Entrepreneurs from Türkiye’s Kastamonu Province expressed interest in implementing new projects in Uzbekistan

Representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan took part in the “Western Black Sea” International Economic Summit organized by the ULUSKON Association and the Kastamonu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KATSO) of Türkiye’s Kastamonu Province, according to the report of the correspondent of Dunyo News Agency.

During the event, Uzbekistan’s trade, economic and investment potential, the economic reforms being implemented in the country, the favorable conditions created for foreign investors, and opportunities for implementing joint projects in promising sectors of the economy were presented.

During talks with the leadership of the Kastamonu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the parties discussed the development of industrial cooperation in the production of furniture, doors and wood products, the organization of joint production of semi-finished products, and the expansion of direct ties between enterprises of the two countries. Contacts were also established with the Turkish companies Gülcan Mobilya, Dortek, and Zintaş.

As part of the visit, the Embassy representatives became acquainted with the operations of the manufacturing enterprise of the company Miskos. The Turkish side expressed interest in entering the Uzbek market, promoting its products through the republic’s largest retail chains, and establishing direct cooperation with local partners. The parties also discussed the prospects of organizing B2B meetings with representatives of Uzbek trading companies within the framework of the international food exhibition F-Istanbul.

Particular attention was paid to issues of interregional cooperation during a meeting with the Governor of Kastamonu Province, Hasan Baltacı.

The parties considered prospects for developing cooperation in industrial collaboration, primarily in the production of furniture, doors and wood products, as well as in the fields of education, mountain, health and wellness, and sports tourism.

Following the negotiations, the parties reached an agreement to facilitate reciprocal visits of business delegations, expand direct contacts between entrepreneurs, develop student exchange programs, and jointly explore the establishment of a direct partnership between Kastamonu Province and one of Uzbekistan’s regions with corresponding economic potential.
