An Altai company plans to localize production in Uzbekistan

A meeting was held in the capital of Russia’s Altai Krai between Uzbekistan’s Consul General in Novosibirsk, Aslam Akbarov, and the management of Alfit, one of the region’s leading companies, the correspondent of Dunyo news agency reports.

The company specializes in the production of more than 350 herbal products, including encapsulated herbal blends, plant extracts, specialized cosmetic products, and confectionery products, including sugar-free items.

During the meeting, particular emphasis was placed on the importance of introducing high-tech phytotherapeutic products to the Uzbek market, especially those produced in Russia’s Altai Krai.

During the negotiations, Alfit’s management expressed strong interest in establishing close cooperation with Uzbekistan.

Following the talks, the parties agreed to open an Alfit representative office in Tashkent in the near future, followed by the establishment of a joint venture. The next stage of cooperation will involve localizing the company’s production at the Chirchik Free Economic Zone.

According to the company’s management, the key focus of future cooperation will be the creation and development of manufacturing capacities in Uzbekistan.

For its part, the Uzbek side invited a representative of Alfit Plus to join the Altai Krai business mission that is scheduled to visit Uzbekistan in September of this year.
