The Board of the World Alliance of International Financial Centers (WAIFC) admitted the Tashkent International Financial Centre as a full member of the Alliance

On 15 September in Busan, the Board of the World Alliance of International Financial Centers (WAIFC) admitted the Tashkent International Financial Centre as a full member of the Alliance, the press service of the MIIT reports.

WAIFC brings together leading financial centres, including London, Frankfurt, Luxembourg, Dubai, Hong Kong, Busan and Astana. Tashkent has been participating in the Alliance’s activities since 2022, previously holding observer status.

Full membership provides access to advanced international practices in financial regulation, investor protection and the development of modern financial instruments, while also creating opportunities to participate in the Alliance’s joint research and expert programmes.

For the Tashkent International Financial Centre, this marks its first international recognition ahead of its official launch. Membership in WAIFC strengthens confidence in Uzbekistan’s new financial platform and supports its further integration into the global financial community.
