An Egyptian company is interested in establishing a transformer production enterprise in Uzbekistan

The Ambassador of our country Mansurbek Qilichev held a meeting with the president of Egypt’s “El Sewedy Electric” company Ahmed al-Suwaidi, the correspondent of “Dunyo” news agency reports.

During the conversation, the issues of investment of El Sewedy Electric company in large projects implemented in Uzbekistan were discussed.

He spoke about the reforms implemented in Uzbekistan in all areas, the favorable investment environment, the opportunities created for foreign investors and the preferences offered to them.

The president of “El Sewedy Electric” announced that entering the Central Asian market is one of the main goals of the company in the near future. “Uzbekistan is considered as the main destination in the region. We are interested in establishing enterprises specializing in the production of electricity and transformers in Uzbekistan,” said Ahmad al-Suwaidi.

It was reported that the company’s delegation plans to travel to Tashkent to discuss these issues and to define prospective directions of mutual cooperation.

For information, today “El Sewedy Electric” company has more than 30 enterprises in about 20 countries. They have 17,000 employees.
