Masdar expands investment presence in Uzbekistan

On April 3 this year, the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov held a meeting with the Chief Executive Officer of Masdar, Muhamed al-Ramahi, the press service of the MIIT reported. The focus of the parties’ attention is the discussion of the implementation of joint projects and the further expansion of investment cooperation in the development of renewable energy sources.

In particular, the current status of the implementation of projects for the construction of 3 photovoltaic stations with a total capacity of 897 MW in Samarkand, Jizzakh and Surkhandarya regions was discussed. An agreement was reached to start construction in April this year.

An exchange of views took place on the prospects for expanding the company’s presence in Uzbekistan through the implementation of new large-scale investment projects.
