Prospects for developing interbank cooperation with Belarus were discussed

In Minsk, on the sidelines of the visit of the government delegation of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Belarus, negotiations were held between the Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Jamshid Khodzhaev with the leadership of the Development Bank of Belarus and the insurance agencies “Beleximgarant” and “Promagroleasing”, during which issues of participation of Belarusian financial institutions in the implementation of joint projects in the field of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, pharmaceuticals and agriculture were discussed , the press service of the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade reports.

The leadership of the Development Bank of Belarus expressed interest in participating in the financing of transactions with Uzbekistan based on the existing experience of working with Uzbek banks and resources to finance both trade and investment projects.

The issue of organizing a visit of the leadership of the Development Bank, the agencies “Beleximgarant” and “Promagroleasing” to Tashkent in September to study promising projects and conduct negotiations in a number of relevant ministries and departments of Uzbekistan was agreed.

Issues of further interbank cooperation in the context of relative stability and predictable stability of mutual settlements were also discussed.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue interaction within the framework of existing agreements and discuss issues of closer cooperation during the planned visit of the leadership of the Development Bank of Belarus to Uzbekistan.
