The Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan business forum and B2B meetings dedicated to expanding the volume and range of mutual trade turnover were held in Baku, the correspondent of ‘‘Dunyo’’ news agency reports.
The event, organized jointly with the Uzbekistan Exporters Association, was attended by over 80 business representatives from the two countries.
Azerbaijani partners were presented with an exhibition of Uzbek products, including textiles, cosmetics, agriculture, medicine and pharmaceuticals, and household goods.
The official opening of the meeting was attended by Vice President of the Confederation of Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan Vugar Zeynalov, founder and head of the Uzbekistan Trading House in Baku Ramin Sharifov, and Deputy Chairman of the Uzbekistan Exporters Association Shukhrat Valikhanov.
Following the event, export agreements were signed with Uzbek companies. The parties also agreed to supply products to the ‘‘Uzbekistan’’ Trading House operating in Baku, and Azerbaijani companies planned to pay a business visit to Uzbekistan in August-September to familiarize themselves with local production facilities.
