The delegation of the Navoi region is on a business visit to China

On the first day of the visit, members of the delegation consisting of the khokims of the city of Zarafshan and the Nurata region, representatives of the administrations of the Karmana region, the Directorate of the FEZ “Navoi” and others visited one of the main regions of Chongqing – Shapinba, where a meeting was held with the leadership of the Shapinba region. This was reported by the correspondent of “UzDaily.uz”.

During the visit, they got acquainted with the capabilities of the International Logistics Park located in Chongqing, which is a major port of entry for imported vehicles, as well as a meat import control center. An agreement was reached on organizing a logistics hub on an area of 200 hectares in the Navoi FEZ.

In addition, the delegation headed by the khokim of the region N. Tursunov met with the mayor of Chongqing Hu Henghua. An exchange of information on the investment potential of the Navoi region and the city of Chongqing took place. The proposal to create a joint free economic zone “Navoi-Chongqing” in the Navoi region in the fields of chemistry, electrical engineering, building materials and logistics was also comprehensively discussed.

During the meeting, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Navoi region of Uzbekistan and the city of Chongqing of the People’s Republic of China.

During the past negotiations and meetings, the leadership of the city of Chongqing received an invitation to pay an official working visit to the Navoi region.
