From 26 to 30 January 2026, the delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, headed by Inomjon Abdurakhmonov, Head of Directorate General of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade, participated in the international exhibition Gulfood 2026 in Dubai, the press service of the MIIT reports.
At the national stand “Made in Uzbekistan,” more than 60 domestic companies showcased the country’s export potential in food products, fresh and processed fruit and vegetables, legumes, and dried fruits. B2B negotiations were held with over 20 leading retailers and distributors from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and other Gulf countries, including Lulu Group, Ali Bin Ali Holding, Sunberry Vegetables, and other major market players.
Agreements were reached to place Uzbek products in Lulu retail chains and to organize direct supplies from Uzbekistan. Mechanisms for entering new markets and the phased development of a pool of exporters were also agreed with partners from the UAE and Qatar.
In addition, consultations were held with the Ministry of Foreign Trade of the UAE on the development of a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA). The parties agreed to establish a joint working group and introduce preferential trade conditions for more than 500 product categories within the current year.
