An agreement was reached with a Malaysian company on the implementation of a joint project in the automotive industry

According to the report of the correspondent of “Dunyo” news agency, employees of the Embassy of Uzbekistan held talks with the executive director of the Malaysian company Amtel Holdings Bhd, Lim Khun Teik.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Malaysian side held a presentation of car cameras, navigation systems and charging stations for electric vehicles manufactured by the company.

The Malaysian side was provided with detailed information on the economic reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan, including about Uzavtosanoat JSC and its enterprises, the types and sizes of cars produced, the possibilities for the production of electric vehicles in our country, as well as the wide opportunities created for investors .

During the event, issues of implementing joint projects for the production of spare parts and auto accessories in our country with foreign parties and the possibility of building a network of electric vehicle charging stations were discussed.

As a result of the negotiations, an agreement was reached on organizing a practical trip to our country for representatives of Amtel Holdings Bhd to participate in the II Tashkent International Investment Forum, which will be held on April 27-28.

During the trip, the Malaysian side is scheduled to meet with the management of Uzavtosanoat JSC and its enterprises to explore the possibilities of implementing joint investment projects in the automotive industry and discuss prospects for cooperation.
