Egyptian Elsewedy Electric is ready to implement investment projects in Uzbekistan

On February 11 this year, the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov held a meeting with the management of Elsewedy Electric (Egypt), during which the prospects for implementing joint projects and introducing innovative developments of the company into the country’s energy industry were discussed, the press service of MIIT reported.

During the conversation, the company’s management highly appreciated the large-scale reforms carried out in Uzbekistan in recent years, thanks to which the investment climate is improving and investor confidence in our country is growing, and the volume of attracted foreign direct investment is increasing.

At the meeting, the company presented innovative projects in the energy sector, implemented in 19 countries of the world, relating, in particular, to the construction of large energy facilities, the installation of high-voltage transmission lines, the creation of green energy facilities, and the development of smart cities.

Following the meeting, the parties expressed mutual readiness to continue interaction and developed a format for further interaction in the framework of the development and implementation of investment projects in Uzbekistan.
