From 30 January to 2 February 2026, in Islamabad, the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Laziz Kudratov, held a series of meetings with the executives of leading Pakistani companies and participated in the 10th session of the Intergovernmental Commission, the press service of the MIIT reports.
Negotiations were held with National Logistics Cell (NLC), Habib Rafiq (Private) Limited, HRL Group, National Fruit, Engro, National Radio & Telecommunication Corporation (NRTC), Fatima Group, Herbion, as well as representatives of Diamond Group, Diners, Hub Leather, Siddiq Leather, Royal Leather and other partners. As a result of the visit, a substantial portfolio of joint projects and contracts was formed.
Agreements were reached on the development of the alternative “Karachi – Kashgar – Osh – Andijan” route, the establishment of joint ventures in the textile industry, and the advancement of projects in geology, pharmaceuticals and food security.
On 2 February, the 10th session of the Intergovernmental Commission was held. The strategic nature of the partnership was reaffirmed, agreements were reached to commence field works on the Trans-Afghan Railway, and to transition to a new format of regular Commission activities.
