Diplomats from the Uzbek Embassy visited the Polish city of Koszalin, where they met with the city administration to discuss the development of interregional cooperation, the correspondent of “Dunyo” news agency reports.
Specifically, the diplomats met with Koszalin Mayor Tomasz Sobieraj. At the meeting, they discussed the potential of Uzbekistan’s regions, the opportunities offered by the free economic zones located there, prospects for developing investment and trade cooperation, and other pressing issues.
Following the meeting, agreements were reached to establish sister-city relations between Koszalin and Chust in the Namangan Region and organize a business mission led by the mayor.
The parties also agreed to discuss prospects for implementing mutually beneficial projects in areas such as the transition to a green economy, medicine, construction, transport and logistics, agriculture, fisheries, food processing, textiles, chemistry, geology, tourism, labor migration, the development of digital technologies and artificial intelligence, and education.
In addition, the parties agreed to consider opening stores of Polish companies Polryb, Romex, ZPP and ZPM Kolobrzeg in the Termez International Trade Center free economic zone.
