Chinese CAMCE plans to build a cable car in Charvak

On the sidelines of the SCO summit, the Ministry of Tourism signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Chinese engineering company CAMCE.

The head of the ministry, Aziz Abdukhakimov, and the chairman of the board of directors of CAMCE, Wang Bo, signed documents in Samarkand on September 16. The document is based on “mutually beneficial cooperation and support of friendly relations in the field of tourism.”

The parties have agreed:

• to establish cooperation in the construction and operation of ropeways;
• to attract experts to promote cable car investment projects;
• to send specialists who will select sites for projects, clarify technical and financial details;
• to train local personnel in the management of cable cars.

The CAMCE delegation also visited the Bostanlyk district of the Tashkent region to study the local infrastructure. The Chinese guests showed interest in investment projects at Charvak, as well as plans to build a cable car here.
