A Kuwaiti company will build new social and industrial facilities in the Sergeli district of Tashkent

On May 13-14, as part of an exhibition held in Kuwait dedicated to the investment, export and tourism potential of Uzbekistan, a meeting was organized between the khokim of the Sergeli district of Tashkent, Elbek Shukurov, and the head of ‘‘Gulf General Trading Co. Ltd.’’, Iyad Salih, the correspondent of the ‘‘Dunyo’’ news agency reports.

This meeting was a logical continuation of the business negotiations that took place in Tashkent on May 3.

During the current meeting, proposals were made for a project to attract investment and introduce modern technologies into the Sergeli district, as well as organize pharmaceutical production and construction of the ‘‘Sergeli Mall’’ shopping complex.

In turn, investor Iyad Saleh expressed interest in investing in the field of medicine, logistics and infrastructure. In particular, the possibilities of equipping public medical institutions located in the Sergeli region with modern medical equipment, introducing technologies for early detection and diagnosis of diseases based on the latest world technologies were noted.

Also, representatives of the Kuwaiti company paid great attention to the construction of multi-storey residential buildings.

As a result of negotiations between the khokimiyat of the Sergeli district of Tashkent and the ‘‘Gulf General Trading Co. Ltd.’’ company, a memorandum of cooperation was signed on projects for the creation of a modern medical laboratory and the construction of a plant for the production of reagents.
