Kuwaiti investor is exploring the possibility of participating in the development of tourism infrastructure in Uzbekistan

Representatives of the Embassy of our country in Kuwait met with Kuwaiti private investor Khalid al-Habshi to discuss issues of establishing investment cooperation in the development of tourism infrastructure, the correspondent of “Dunyo” news agency reports.

During the conversation, the Kuwaiti side was provided with detailed information about the large-scale reforms being implemented in our country aimed at liberalizing the economy and developing foreign trade, and the opportunities created for foreign investors.

The Kuwaiti investor noted that he visited Uzbekistan twice as a tourist, and as a private investor plans to open restaurants of Arabic cuisine in Samarkand, Tashkent, Bukhara and Fergana, investing 1.1 million US dollars.

He also expressed interest in the construction of special hotels in the tourist cities of Uzbekistan for tourists from the Arab countries of the Persian Gulf and is ready to involve other Kuwaiti businessmen in this project.
