Leaders of Uzbekistan and India discussed the issues of expanding strategic partnership

As a part of his stay in Kazan, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with Prime Minister of the Republic of India Narendra Modi, the press service of the head of our state reports.

The issues of further expansion of Uzbek-Indian relations of strategic partnership and multifaceted cooperation were discussed.

Particular attention was paid to the implementation of programs and projects in the field of high technology, artificial intelligence, industry, energy, pharmaceuticals, and transport communications.

An agreement was reached to hold the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission and a business forum this year, and to adopt a medium-term Industrial Cooperation Program.

It was proposed to organize mutual Days of Culture and Cinema, joint events in the field of medicine, sports, and youth, including through youth parliamentary organizations.

The leaders of the two countries also discussed the schedule of upcoming events at the highest level.
