The leaders of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan have advocated the further development of full-scale cooperation

On March 3, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kasim-Zhomart Tokaev held an informal meeting in the city of Shymkent, the press service of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan reports.

The issues of further strengthening of the Uzbek-Kazakh relations of strategic partnership and allied, expand mutually beneficial cooperation were discussed.

Particular attention was paid to the issues of accelerating cooperation projects in accordance with previously reached agreements at the highest level.

The heads of state heard the reports of the deputy prime ministers of the two countries, the co-chairs of special working groups on the progress of the signed agreements and decisions made.

Presidents gave specific instructions to deepen practical interaction in the areas of industry, energy, agriculture, transport and logistics.

The importance of activating cultural and humanitarian exchanges is emphasized.

Actual issues of the regional agenda, the schedule of upcoming events are also considered.

The meeting was held in a traditionally open, warm and friendly atmosphere.
