On June 4, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov, the press service of the head of our state reports.
At the beginning of the conversation, the head of state warmly and sincerely congratulated the President and the fraternal people of the Kyrgyz Republic on their election to the UN Security Council as a non-permanent member for 2027-2028.
The Uzbek leader emphasized that Kyrgyzstan’s victory is a clear sign of the international community’s high recognition of the country’s proactive foreign policy and its significant contribution to regional stability and security.
They reaffirmed their mutual readiness to continue close coordination and support for each other on international platforms.
During the conversation, the heads of state noted with deep satisfaction the current high level of Uzbek-Kyrgyz relations of friendship, good-neighborliness, and strategic partnership.
Particular attention was paid to the practical implementation of agreements reached during the summit meetings, particularly in the areas of economics, transport, energy, and cultural and humanitarian affairs.
The leaders also reviewed the schedule of upcoming summit events.
