The leaders of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan got acquainted with a large carpet enterprise in Khiva

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President Sadyr Japarov visited the ‘‘Khiva Gilamlari’’ carpet factory, the press service of the head of our state reports.

Created in 2020, the enterprise annually produces 4.2 million square meters of carpets and carpet products, which are exported to China, Russia, the USA, Kazakhstan and other CIS countries.

Today, the modernly equipped plant, using technologies from leading European countries, employs 750 people.

The presidents got acquainted with the production process and showroom of the enterprise, as well as an exhibition of products organized on the territory of the plant under the “Made in Uzbekistan” brand.

Relevant ministries and departments are tasked with exchanging experience, developing cooperation and trade.
