Leaders of Uzbekistan and Russia discussed current issues on the bilateral agenda

On August 15, a telephone conversation took place between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, the press service of the head of our state reports.

The issues of further expansion of Uzbek-Russian multifaceted cooperation, deepening of relations of comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance were discussed.

The Presidents of Uzbekistan and Russia discussed the progress of the implementation of the agreements reached during the state visit of the President of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Uzbekistan on May 26-28 this year.

Particular attention was paid to the issues of taking coordinated measures to increase the volume of trade turnover, developing cooperation ties between leading enterprises and regions of the two countries, implementing joint investment projects and humanitarian programs.

During the conversation, the schedule of upcoming bilateral and multilateral events was also discussed.
