On October 28 of this year, Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov held talks with a member of the Great State Hural of Mongolia, Chairman of the Mongolia-Uzbekistan interparliamentary group Sukhbaatar Erdenebat, who heads the observer mission from Mongolia for the parliamentary elections in Uzbekistan. This was reported by the press service of the MIIT.
The meeting was also attended by senior staff of the Mongolia-Uzbekistan interparliamentary group, Mongolian Ambassador to the Republic of Uzbekistan Daadanhuu Batbaatar and Chairman of the General Election Commission of Mongolia Delgernaran Purevee.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the phased and timely implementation of previously reached agreements at the highest level, the possibility of further expanding cooperation in the field of agriculture and mining.
In order to strengthen the legal basis of bilateral cooperation, mutual readiness was expressed to hold the first meeting of the Uzbek-Mongolian intergovernmental commission in December, at which issues of preferential trade, an agreement on mutual protection of investments and an industrial cooperation program between the Republic of Uzbekistan and Mongolia will be discussed.
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness to deepen bilateral cooperation and accelerate the implementation of the discussed areas.
