According to the report of the press service of the MIIT, on May 26, the Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan, Laziz Kudratov, met with the Ambassador of Germany to Uzbekistan, Manfred Huterer, to discuss the advancement of trade, economic, investment, and technological cooperation. Germany remains a key European partner for the Republic.
By the end of 2025, bilateral trade volume increased by 13.2%, reaching 1.4 billion dollars. Currently, 233 enterprises operating in Uzbekistan involve German capital.
The meeting reviewed the outcomes of the German-Uzbek Business Council and the “German Economy Day in Uzbekistan” forum, both held on May 18. It was noted that these events strengthened ties between the respective business communities and facilitated new agreements.
Both parties emphasized the significance of the upcoming high-level bilateral meetings scheduled within the framework of the Tashkent International Investment Forum, which are expected to provide additional momentum to bilateral relations.
In conclusion, the sides reaffirmed their commitment to the joint implementation of existing agreements, the promotion of new investment initiatives, and the development of a long-term partnership.
