The Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade held a series of productive meetings with the leadership of Japanese government agencies, financial institutions, and the industrial sector

On 2–4 December 2025, in Tokyo, the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Laziz Kudratov, held a series of productive meetings with the leadership of Japanese government agencies, financial institutions, and the industrial sector, the press service of the MIIT reports.

During the meeting with Japan’s Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, Ryosei Akazawa, the strategic nature of bilateral cooperation was reaffirmed, and an agreement was reached to advance new initiatives in education, energy, healthcare, entrepreneurship development, and the improvement of free economic zone infrastructure.

The talks also focused on prospects for cooperation in decarbonization, renewable energy, modernization of power grids, water treatment systems, district heating, and the introduction of energy-efficient technologies.

At the business sector level, the parties explored opportunities for collaboration in developing industrial zones, upgrading medical infrastructure, introducing advanced technological solutions, expanding localized production, and implementing public-private partnership projects.
