The Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Laziz Kudratov, met with a mission of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) led by Sakai Mamoru, Chief Representative of JICA Uzbekistan, the press service of the Ministry reports.
The parties discussed the implementation of the Technical Cooperation Project, aimed at the development of free economic zones, attracting foreign direct investment (FDI), and supporting the country’s industrial development.
They also reviewed the outcomes of the JICA diagnostic mission, which conducted consultations with relevant ministries and the administrations of Uzbekistan’s free economic zones.
Following the meeting, the parties signed a protocol outlining the next steps for implementing the project.
The initiative will contribute to strengthening Uzbekistan–Japan partnership, advancing industrial development, and enhancing Uzbekistan’s investment attractiveness.
