On the sidelines of the 9th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank in Samarkand, Laziz Kudratov, Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, held a meeting with Nikolai Podguzov, Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB), the press service of the Ministry reports.
During the conversation, issues of further deepening cooperation between Uzbekistan and the EDB were discussed. Nikolay Podguzov noted that Uzbekistan remains a key partner for the Bank in the region and announced plans to include a number of large countries in the shareholders in the near future.
Agreements have been reached to launch a number of joint projects totaling $3.3 billion, including 5 non-sovereign projects already this year.
At the same time, it is planned to open an EDB country office in Tashkent by the end of the year, which will improve cooperation and accelerate the financing of priority projects.
