On September 19 this year, the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Uzbekistan Smita Pant, the press service of the Ministry reports.
During the talks, the current state of trade and economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and India was discussed and promising areas for the development of further cooperation were identified.
In particular, measures were discussed to increase trade turnover, attract investment, improve logistics and further diversify transport connectivity.
Organizational issues were discussed regarding holding the next 15th meeting of the Intergovernmental Joint Commission between Uzbekistan and India in Tashkent by the end of this year and the participation of the Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs of India in the 9th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank on September 25-26 in Samarkand.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed on a number of further joint actions within the framework of the discussed issues on the current agenda of bilateral cooperation.
