The Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade met with the Vice President of the French company ‘‘Voltalia’’

On September 19 this year, the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov met with the Vice President of the French company ‘‘Voltalia’’ Yoni Ammar, the press service of the Ministry reports.

During the meeting, the parties examined in detail the process of implementing large projects for the construction of solar and wind power plants in a number of regions of Uzbekistan.

‘‘Voltalia’’ was founded in France in 2005. To date, it has experience in implementing projects in the field of renewable energy sources, in particular solar, wind, hydropower and bioenergy projects. The company’s project portfolio includes more than 3.1 GW of commissioned and under construction energy facilities. ‘‘Voltalia’s’’ market capitalization is $ 1.2 billion.

Following the negotiations, the parties agreed on the next steps in the framework of the successful completion of the projects being implemented and identified promising areas for the development of cooperation.

Satisfaction was expressed with the results of the negotiations and the agreements reached, which, in the mutual opinion of the parties, will serve to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation in the energy sector and strengthen economic ties between Uzbekistan and France.
