Construction of the Surenate mining complex has started

On July 18, 2024, a ceremonial event was held in the Parkent district of the Tashkent region to mark the start of construction of the Surenate mining complex, the press service of the Ministry of Geology reports.

The event was attended by the leadership of the Ministry of Mining and Geology, the Khokimiyat of the Tashkent region, senior officials of the district Khokimiyat, as well as the director of ‘‘Limaomaoli Metal Company’’ LLC.

The launch of the Surenate complex will allow the production of 2.4 million tons of ore per year. The capacity of the complex is 1 million tons of iron ore concentrate per year.

It is expected that $50 million will be invested in the iron ore mining project, which will ultimately create 400-500 new jobs.
