Ways to strengthen Uzbek-Turkish trade and economic cooperation were discussed

On November 24 this year, representatives of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan took part in an event on the topic “New Prospects for Turkish-Uzbek Economic Cooperation”, held in Tashkent jointly with the Economic Research Foundation of the Republic of Turkey and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan.

During the event, the prospects for the development of trade and economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Turkey, improving the investment environment, accelerating regional and international trade and economic relations, and developing infrastructure were discussed.

The possibilities of expanding interregional transport and logistics cooperation were also considered, bearing in mind the more active use of the International Trans-Caspian Corridor, increasing the volume of cargo transportation, optimizing prices, developing transport infrastructure, simplifying transit processes and jointly implementing large logistics infrastructure projects.

As a result of the event, the participants identified priority areas of trade and economic partnership between Turkish business and Uzbek entrepreneurs and expressed readiness to continue interaction to establish long-term mutually beneficial cooperation.
