Issues of Uzbek-Mongolian investment and trade and economic cooperation were discussed

On August 25 this year, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan between the Deputy Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Kh. Teshabaev and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Republic of Uzbekistan D. Bayarkhuu (with residence in Nur-Sultan), the press service of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade reports.

During the negotiations, ways to expand bilateral investment and trade and economic cooperation were considered, as well as the progress in implementing the agreements reached following the 6th round of political consultations held on March 15, 2022 between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Mongolia.

Particular attention was paid to increasing the volume of bilateral trade and implementing joint investment projects, including by expanding the range of high value-added goods supplied to the markets of both countries in the textile, leather and footwear industries, agriculture, food and automotive industries.

Following the meeting, the issue of practical actions to further deepen cooperation in priority areas was agreed upon.
