Cooperation with the Axens company is planned within the framework of the project Modernization of the Bukhara Oil Refinery

The Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan has determined the transition to the production of high-octane gasoline of the Euro 5 class and the abandonment of AI80 gasoline of the Euro 2 class through the implementation of the modernization project of the Bukhara Oil Refinery, the Information Service of “Uzbekneftegaz” JSC reports.

The project provides for the production of high-octane gasoline AI-92 and AI-95 of Euro 5 class in the volume of 60% and 40%, respectively. It is planned to implement the project in “Fast-Track” mode with parallel design and construction.

In order to implement the project, cooperation has been established with the Licensor of technologies, the company Axens (France), to design technological installations. The technological configuration of the project provides for the construction of a new naphtha hydrotreating unit, an isomerization unit, and a unit for selective hydrogenation of pyrolysis distillate.

As part of the visit of the delegation of “Uzbekneftegaz” JSC from April 22 to April 24, 2024, a License Agreement was signed, including personnel training, and an Agreement for the development of a package of project documentation with the technology licensor company Axens.

In order to implement the agreements reached, the Axens company and “Uzbekneftegaz” JSC in the period from April 24 to April 26, 2024. A kick-off meeting is held, which in turn is the beginning of the process plant design process.
