The Polish company intends to implement an investment project in Uzbekistan

A delegation from the Polish agricultural company “Plantin” visited Uzbekistan, the correspondent of “Dunyo” news agency reports.

The Plantin company specializes in the production of berry seedlings using the In-vitro method – about 6 million annually. Products are exported to 23 countries around the world. The company has its own In-vitro laboratory, equipped with the most advanced technology.

During the visit of the Polish delegation led by the founder of the Plantin company Tadeusz Kusibab, negotiations were held at the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan, the Investment Promotion Agency, BMB Holding, the Council of Dehkan Farms and Owners of Household Plots, and the khokimiyat of the Jizzakh region.

At the negotiations, issues of investing in the production of berry crops in Uzbekistan were discussed – blueberries, raspberries, currants, honeysuckle (Kamchatka berry), as well as hazelnuts and others.

The guests were informed about the attractive investment environment in our country, in particular about the potential of horticultural companies and the achievements achieved to date.

The delegation was presented with a climate map of the territory of Uzbekistan for the selection of optimal varieties of berry crops and their further zoning, investment conditions. In addition, they were given selected soil and water samples for laboratory research.

Chairman of the Supervisory Board of BMB Holding Bekzod Mamatkulov also received the Polish delegation. Issues of investing in the cultivation of berry crops – blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, hazelnuts in our country were discussed.

The head of the Plantin company, Tadeusz Kusibab, expressed his readiness to directly invest in the creation of plantations for growing seedlings and berries. In his opinion, the climatic conditions of Uzbekistan allow for a good harvest.

He also noted that if the project is successfully implemented, his company is also ready to invest in the processing of berries and the production of juices, jams, syrups and extracts, and frozen foods.
