The Ambassador of Uzbekistan met with the head of the representative office of the Latvian Investment and Development Agency being created in Tashkent

Ambassador of Uzbekistan Kadambay Sultanov met with Georgiys Voevoda, who will head the Office of the Latvian Investment and Development Agency (LIAA) in Uzbekistan, which is being created, the correspondent of “Dunyo” news agency reports.

At the meeting, the prospects for a significant increase in trade, investment and technological cooperation between Uzbekistan and Latvia were discussed.

Georgijs Voevoda noted the growing interest of Latvian business in promising cooperation with Uzbekistan, which was manifested in the decision to open a representative office of LIAA in Tashkent.

Georgiys Voevoda outlined the sphere of pharmaceuticals, information and communication technologies, textile industry, agriculture, and food production as promising areas of cooperation.

During the meeting, the schedule and agenda for the upcoming bilateral contacts at various levels were discussed.
