Information on plans in the automotive industry was presented

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was informed about the work carried out in the automotive industry and plans for 2025, the press service of the head of our state reports.

The share of the automotive industry in the country’s industry is 10 percent. Over the past ten months, 338 thousand cars were produced. Components of 1.4 thousand types were localized. Thanks to economic measures, the cost price in the industry decreased by 4 percent. Exports amounted to 455 million dollars.

The Chairman of the joint-stock company ‘‘Uzavtosanoat’’ presented information on plans and tasks for the future.

Next year, it is planned to produce 450 thousand cars and increase exports to 700 million dollars. It is planned to strengthen cooperation with regional enterprises and increase localization. In particular, 63 projects will be implemented for 325 million dollars to develop the production of 700 parts.

As is known, an electric car plant was built in Jizzakh jointly with the ‘‘BYD’’ company. Currently, such cars as Chazor and Song Plus Champion are manufactured there. In the coming years, the model range is planned to be expanded. At the second stage, costing 300 million dollars, it is planned to increase the production volume of electric cars to 200 thousand per year, at the third stage – to 500 thousand.

The head of our state gave instructions on coordinating with Chinese partners the construction of additional capacities, the consistent development of the production of components and spare parts for electric cars.

The task has been set to form orders for domestic enterprises on the basis of cooperation.
