The President of our country got acquainted with the activities of a polymer production enterprise

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Kmita Polymers plant, located in the Chirchik Chemical Industrial Technopark, the press service of the head of our state reports.

The project, implemented jointly with the Russian company Polymers, specializes in the production of a wide range of specialty polyethylene films.

These products are an unnoticed but crucial component of the modern economy. Today, the safe delivery of food products, household appliances, construction materials, pharmaceuticals, and various industrial goods to market, as well as their protection from external influences, largely depend on modern packaging technologies.

The 6,670-square-meter facility, using modern Italian equipment, produces a wide range of polymer and heat-shrinkable films. The launch of production will enable the production of import-substituting products worth $9.5 million.

The project is being implemented as part of a two-stage expansion program. The total investment cost is $15.2 million. $7.4 million was invested in the first stage.

The project has created 50 new jobs. A further increase in their number is expected in subsequent stages.

In 2025, the company produced goods worth 115 billion soums. In addition, $6 million worth of goods were exported to Central Asian countries.

The company’s polymer products are used as local raw materials in packaging systems for major brands such as Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Flash, Chernogolovka, Ackerman, Asl Oyna, Biolife, and Family Group.

It was noted that the packaging industry is one of the most dynamically developing areas of modern industry. As production volumes increase, so do the requirements for safe storage, transportation, and marketing.

In this sense, the increase in the number of such enterprises contributes not only to the development of a specific industry but also to the sustainable operation of the food industry, construction, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, and other sectors.
