The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan met with the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Japan’s Parliament

As a part of his official visit to Tokyo, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with Speaker of the House of Representatives of Japan Fukushiro Nukaga, the press service of the head of our state reports.

The parties discussed further strengthening the Uzbek-Japanese strategic partnership and expanding multifaceted cooperation, including between their parliaments.

The parties expressed deep satisfaction with the frequency of mutual visits and meetings between parliamentary delegations of the two countries. Friendship groups are active in the parliaments. A regular interparliamentary forum was successfully held in Tokyo in May.

The importance of establishing cooperation between relevant parliamentary committees, local councils of people’s deputies, and prefectural assemblies of Japan, as well as exchanging legislative experience in the field of digital technology and artificial intelligence, was noted.
