The President of Uzbekistan discussed the progress of project implementation with SOCAR and British Petroleum

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Rovshan Najaf, head of the Azerbaijani company SOCAR, and Giovanni Cristofoli, Senior Vice President at British Petroleum, who arrived in the country to participate in the meeting of the Council of Investors in the Fuel and Energy Sector, the press service of the head of our state reports.

The successful cooperation with these leading energy companies was noted with satisfaction.

The parties discussed further practical steps for the development of hydrocarbon fields on the Ustyurt Plateau. The participation of British Petroleum in this large-scale project was highly commended.

Emphasis was placed on the importance of advancing new projects in the oil and gas sector, establishing long-term supply arrangements, and developing a sales network for oil and petroleum products.
