The President of Uzbekistan discussed plans of American companies to expand business in our country

On May 3, as part of the program of the Tashkent International Investment Forum and a meeting of the Council of Foreign Investors, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation led by the chairman of the American-Uzbek Chamber of Commerce Carolyn Lamm, the press service of the head of our state reports. The meeting was also attended by executives from Air Products, CNH Industrial and Silverleaf.

The current high level of Uzbek-American strategic partnership relations was noted, as well as the chamber’s significant contribution to the development of trade, economic and investment cooperation between our countries.

The volume of mutual trade and investment is growing steadily, projects in the fields of energy, agriculture, mechanical engineering, food industry and others are being successfully implemented.

On behalf of the US business community, Carolyn Lamm sincerely thanked the head of our state for the personal attention and full support for economic interaction between the two countries.

Specific plans of American business to expand their presence in Uzbekistan, introduce best practices in the development of financial instruments and mechanisms, as well as implement projects in various industries were discussed.

An agreement was reached to hold a business forum in the city of Tashkent this year with the participation of flagship companies and US banks.
