On August 27, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation led by the Chairperson of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Natalya Kochanova, who is in our country on an official visit, the press service of the head of our state reports.
The issues of further deepening multifaceted relations between Uzbekistan and Belarus, including the expansion of inter-parliamentary cooperation, were discussed.
At the beginning of the meeting, Natalya Kochanova conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes to the head of our state from the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.
The President of Uzbekistan noted with satisfaction the dynamic development of bilateral cooperation, the intensification of contacts and exchanges in accordance with the agreements reached at the highest level in February of this year.
There is an increase in trade turnover, industrial cooperation projects are being successfully implemented, interregional business partnership is gaining momentum, and events are regularly held within the framework of the cultural and humanitarian program.
The fruitful results of joint events between the parliaments, which are currently taking place in Tashkent, including meetings in the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan and the second women’s business forum, were highly appreciated.
The importance of continuing intensive inter-parliamentary dialogue aimed at promoting specific cooperation projects between the two countries in the areas of trade, industry, agriculture, education, healthcare and other priority areas was emphasized.
