The President of Uzbekistan noted the importance of expanding partnership with Saudi Arabia in the field of “green” energy

On November 11, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, as part of his participation in the extraordinary Arab-Islamic summit in the city of Riyadh, received the Minister of Energy of Saudi Arabia, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman Al Saud, the press service of the head of our state reports.

The issues of implementing joint investment projects and further expanding practical cooperation in the field of ‘‘green’’ energy were discussed.

The head of our state noted with particular satisfaction the fruitful partnership with the leading company ‘‘ACWA Power’’, which is actively involved in the modernization of the energy sector of Uzbekistan based on direct investment and advanced technologies.

Particular attention is paid to accelerating the implementation of projects for the construction of wind and solar power plants in the regions of our country, as well as for the production of ‘‘green’’ hydrogen.

An agreement was reached on involving Saudi companies and consultants in the processes of increasing the localization and energy efficiency of enterprises in the country.
