The President of Uzbekistan emphasized the importance of expanding interparliamentary exchange with Kyrgyzstan

On September 26, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic Nurlanbek Shakiev, who is in our country on a visit, the press service of the head of our state reports.

Current issues of further strengthening the Uzbek-Kyrgyz relations of friendship, good neighborliness and comprehensive strategic partnership were discussed.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Chairman of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes to the head of our state from the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov.

During the conversation, the current high level and fruitful nature of bilateral cooperation were noted with particular satisfaction. In particular, active contacts and exchanges are being carried out at different levels, the volume of trade turnover and cargo transportation is growing, cooperation projects are being implemented, including with the attraction of investments from a joint fund.

The special role of developing close inter-parliamentary ties in expanding multifaceted relations, implementing agreements at the highest level and promoting promising projects, establishing practical cooperation at the regional and business level, as well as conducting cultural and humanitarian events in the two countries was emphasized.

The importance of strengthening interaction and coordination within specialized international organizations was also noted.
