President of Uzbekistan received delegation from Qatar

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation of the State of Qatar led by Minister of Finance Ali bin Ahmad al-Kuwari, participating in a meeting of the Board of Governors of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, the press service of the head of our state reports.

At the beginning of the meeting, Ali al-Kuwari conveyed greetings and best wishes from the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to the leader of Uzbekistan.

The issues of further expansion of bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation, primarily in the trade and economic sphere, were discussed.

The importance of promoting projects in the field of ‘‘green’’ energy, transport, healthcare, tourism, infrastructure development and other areas was emphasized.

It was noted that a meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission and a joint business forum will be held in Doha by the end of the year.

Attention was paid to the issues of intensifying cultural and humanitarian exchange.
