The President of Uzbekistan received the delegation of Pakistan

On September 5, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan headed by the commander of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of this country, General Asim Munir, the press service of the head of our state reports.

Issues of further development of the Uzbek-Pakistani multifaceted cooperation and strengthening of strategic partnership relations were discussed.

At the beginning of the meeting, the distinguished guest conveyed the sincere greetings and best wishes of the President of Pakistan Arif Alvi and Acting Prime Minister Anwar Kakar to the head of our state.

During the conversation, special attention was paid to maintaining the high growth dynamics of mutual trade, accelerating the implementation of infrastructure projects and strengthening cooperation ties between the leading enterprises of the two countries in accordance with the adopted road map.

An exchange of views took place on issues of ensuring regional security, including in the context of the development of the situation in Afghanistan.

The importance of coordinating practical efforts in order to promote the construction project of the Termez-Mazar-i-Sharif-Peshawar railway was emphasized.
